Craig has had a multi-faceted career, beginning in New York City where he worked at one of the biggest professional service networks. He then joined the start-up, Loudcloud, where he was in sales and product management. After completing an MBA, he turned to investment banking with a focus on software and hardware companies. Here he led game changing mergers, next generation IPOs, and numerous complex financings. Years later he transitioned to operational work as a CFO for large scale public and private companies, most recently at Financial Engines. Craig holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from University California San Diego and an MBA from Wharton School of Business.
Who is your hero in real life?
My parents without a doubt. They are an incredible combination of work ethic, humility and morality.
What/who inspires you?
I am inspired by people that are willing to take huge risks to change the world for the positive.
Best book you’ve read in the last year?
“My $50,000 Year at the Races” by Andrew Beyer. I really like books about how people developed a new approach to a complex problem, in this case horse race handicapping.
Hal 9000. Because not everyone is perfect.
